Michigan adults and their outlook on religion and God
Religion is both a controversial topic in society, but also plays a role in the everyday lives of Michigan citizens. Whether people believe in God or not, having an understanding of the impact and importance of religion, or lack of religion, in community member’s lives fosters a more accepting environment. Several research surveys have been done by Pew Research Center to gain a deeper understanding of religion regarding Michigan adults. The first bar graph explains the importance of religion for Michigan adults. Looking at the importance of religion first is crucial because religion often influences what is shown in the next two charts. The second pie graph depicts adults in Michigan who believe in God. The third line graph shows how often Michigan adults pray. The first line graph reveals that 50% of Michigan adults find religion important. The next two charts show that over 50% of Michigan adults believe in God and pray everyday. This is important data to look further into because it indicates that many Michigan adults do not necessarily need religion to believe in God or prayer. All of this data plays a part in helping people better understand the level of importance their community members put, or do not put on religion.
